Cam Waters claimed victory in Race 18 of the Supercars Championship at the NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint, delivering a stellar performance at the Symmons Plains Raceway. Driving his Monster Energy Ford Mustang, Waters took control early and maintained a strong lead throughout the race, securing an important win in the 2023 season. Jack Brown finished in second, while Bryce Fullwood took the final podium spot in third.

One interesting aspect of this race was the strategy battle among the front runners, with pit stops and tire management playing crucial roles. Despite pressure from rivals like Brodie Kostecki, Brown and Fullwood, Waters executed a flawless race, showing both pace and consistency. The tight and technical nature of the 2.4-kilometer Symmons Plains circuit made overtaking difficult, putting even more emphasis on race starts and pit strategies.

Waters’ victory not only boosted his championship hopes but also highlighted the competitive nature of the Supercars field, where fine margins and strategic decisions often determine race outcomes. The Tasmania SuperSprint remains one of the key rounds in the championship, with its unique blend of high-speed straights and tight corners testing both drivers and teams alike.
